Fashion: The Glendale Galleria is getting a clear full body make over this year. Stores like American Eagle have moved out, new stores are moving in, the place is getting spiffy. Nordstrom will be relocating to The Americana in the fall of this year. Three stories of greatness is expected. The odd space which used to be occupied by Mervyn’s will be transformed into a beautiful Bloomingdales projected by the Glendale Galleria. The Grove is experiencing a mini face lift as well. A bigger Barney’s I heard. Caruso is just going to work isn’t he.
Beauty: Sachauan Oil Treatment is a new product I am using for my dull looking hair. It can be used as a styling boost or a leave-in conditioner. The price tag is tad hefty but a little goes a long way.
Lifestyle: Flywheel Spinning Studios has come to Los Angeles. Arch enemy of Soul Cycle has two new locations in West Hollywood and Larchmont Village. I have attended 2 classes already and can’t get enough. The music is vibin’, the place is spectacular, and the service is off the hook. For starters, Flywheel offers 1 complimentary class, shoes, water, and towels. It is a great 45 minute work out sure to get you sweating. Visit their website at www.flywheelsports.com
Music: Dj Drama- So Many Girls
Random: I can successfully cross of Synergy Organic & Raw drinks off my list. How do people drink this stuff?
Kitson has opened up a new outlet space at the Camarillo Outlets. If only it was 2008 again.
Beauty: I have done it. The world will have softer hands due to this amazing product from Archipelago Botanicals. I hate hand cream. I hate the way it makes my hands greasy and cannot stand smelling like flowers or chocolate for that matter. The “Soy Creme Milk No/3″ is probably the best hand creme I have used in my life. That is a bold statement readers. It truly keeps your hands moisturized through numerous hand washings and smells delightful. Find it at your local beauty supply store.
Lifestyle: Tomorrow I start my first Fly Wheel Spinning Class. I am not going to lie, I am nervous and excited at the same time. I used to spin for a good year straight but since have fallen off the bandwagon. Fly Wheel Sports is a new swanky spinning studio from New York setting its mark on West Coast Territory. Check them out here.
Music: Drake- Girls Like Beyonce
Random: I tried Coconut Water for the first time. Um, Bad idea. I want my $7.00 back.
Music: Oh Justin, I admire your comeback. Not so much your choice in women but you can’t be perfect. This song is a classic JT song in my opinion. It features Timberland, has a sexy beat, and an edgy Justin take. Nice change from the rest of the album.
Music: Drake is one of my favorite lyricists. I know people have mixed feelings about him but in my eyes, he is really talented. His real name does make me laugh a little though; Aubrey Drake Graham. Hehe. He puts me in a thoughtful mood where I look back to past relationships or other memories. It’s all about that Drake featuring Drake.
Music: I first learned of Azealia Banks when her single “212″ played on the radio and I remember just blasting it in my car. This New York original is only 22 years old. She is a rapper with a dance feel. You can dance to most of her songs while admiring her songwriting skills. She is openly bisexual.
Music: Rakim Mayers better known as A$AP Rocky is my new favorite rapper. Out of New York, his style is fresh and crosses boundaries. You can see him in a Lana Del Rey video to collaborating with Skrillex. His album titled Long.Live.Asap is in stores now.
Fashion: I am all about that Black and White right now. I just bought a Marciano Jacquard number with black and white details throughout. Before the fashion police come to attack me, Marciano is a hidden gem when it comes to dressier basics like high waist shorts, cigarette pants, and layering tank tops.
Beauty: There was a period (2 weeks ago) where I wanted to get lip injections. I know, I know, I am sorry. I soon realized the lip gloss from Benefit called “Sexy Motherpucker” works wonders! It stings a little but so worth it.
Lifestyle: I can’t keep up with all these social media platforms. Am I alone? I am barely getting a hang of this Instagram thing. In addition to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, now we have the Vine App? Ugh. I feel more than half my day is spent on Social Media.
Music: Rihanna- Love Song ft. Future
Random: I have chocolate muffins at home. What is it about buying one from a coffee shop that makes it so special? I am sick in the head.
Music: My brother sent me this song via text with a message that read “hipster sol music” and he was right. The band is made up of two members and is considered a contemporary rock band. They mix vintage tunes with a little bit of house.
Music: I heard this song on iheartradio and fell in love. I love the 80′s background beat. The artist’s real name is George Lewis Jr, from the Domenican Republic. He reminds me a little bit of Kings of Leon.
what are you thinking of
what are you doing
what do you think you can do
what you are
what you do
looking out at
ripples on the dance floor
what do you mean
is what you get
did you forget to know
what the end is
at ripples on the dance floor
did you get
everything you asked for
a charm on the dance floor
and glass bone nights
electric lines run
through your minds
distractions with radio contraptions
hear the wind lick
sprouting from the backbone
you don’t know what you came for
a charm on the dance floor
we are like those two
steaming in the rain
we are those two
holding each other’s hands
a charm on the dance floor
